Chris John Specialist Physiotherapist BSC PHYSIOTHERAPY MSC SPORT & EXERCISE MEDICINE MCSP HCPC REGISTERED
Chris is the Owner and Director of Rehab and Recover. He is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. Alongside his work at the clinic he works at Leeds Beckett University as a part time lecturer to the MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine Programme. He has recently finished working in professional rugby for Hull FC as their Head Physiotherapist to commit his time to the R&R clinic.
As well as working at the elite end of rugby league Chris has vast experience in professional football, rugby union and the NHS. He was delighted to be asked to be part of the Medical team for the Rugby League World Cup 2022, including the World Cup Final at Old Trafford.
Chris believes strongly in the importance of evidence lead testing prior to return of sporting activities following injury. In addition to his degree in Physiotherapy Chris has completed a Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine in Leeds. Chris also has an advanced trauma medical management qualification endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons.

Emily Thompson Senior Sports Rehabilitator BSC SPORTS REHABILITATION BASRaT REGISTERED
Before graduating with a First Class Honours in Sport Rehabilitation from the University of Hull, Emily dedicated much of her time to gymnastics, competing in acrobatics and tumbling. Even now, gymnastics remains a hobby of Emily's, helping her to understand the demands of sport and sparking her passion for Sport Rehabilitation.
During her studies, Emily gained invaluable experience working with rugby teams at various levels – from local amateurs to international teams during the Rugby World Cup recovery sessions.
Beyond sports, Emily has had the privilege of delivering exercise classes to diverse populations and taking a lead role in the University clinic. These experiences paved the way for her current role as a Sport Rehabilitator at Hull RUFC and overseeing rehabilitation at Bishop Burton College for their ACE Rugby and Football Academies.
Emily will be at the R&R Clinic to Lead our recovery service and help those with long term rehabs.

Eleanor Crompton-Mudd Senior Sports Rehabilitator Sports Massage Therapist, Pilates Teacher BSC SPORTS REHABILITATION, BASRaT REGISTERED APPI Matwork Level 1 & Ante/Post Natal Certified
Eleanor is a qualified Sports Rehabilitator from Hull University and certified APPI Pilates Teacher. She has previously worked at Doncaster Knights RUFC as their Lead Sports Massage Therapist. Eleanor has a passion for working with all ages and abilities to get patients more mobile and stronger.
At Rehab and Recover Eleanor offers Sports Massage, Lymphatic drainage and Pregnancy Massage in both our Hull and Brough Clinics. In addition Eleanor leads our weekly Pilates classes at Blackburn Community & Leisure Centre, where our Brough Physiotherapy & Sports Massage Clinic is based and also offers 1 to 1's in Pilates and Pre/Post Natal Pilates.

Josh Thorpe Sports Therapist BSC SPORTS THERAPY ACCREDITED UKSCA S+C TRAINER SST REGISTERED
Josh holds a Sport and Exercise Therapy degree from York St John University where he gained valuable experience working with York Valkyrie Rugby League Team.
Josh has a passion for football, running and sports injuries. Alongside his work at Rehab and Recover, he also has a role in the Performance team for Hull City Ladies Football Club. Josh is also an accredited UKSCA Strength & Conditioning Trainer. Josh will use his experiences to help his patients with their rehab and recovery within the clinic!

Andrew Edwards Orthopaedic Consultant
Andrew is a specialist in lower limb orthopaedics and sports conditions. He takes referrals for soft tissue hip and knee injuries, major joint arthroplasty, knee and ankle arthroscopy and general foot and ankle conditions. His main interest is in knee surgery and sports injuries. Andrew also offers a number of different injections for specific conditions. In addition to his surgical work, he was a pitch side doctor for Hull KR rugby league club, now being a consultant to Hull FC. At R&R we are pleased to offer a referral service to see Andrew.
Jack Tranmer Physiotherapist MSC PHYSIOTHERAPY BSC SPORTS SCIENCE HCPC REGISTERED
Jack is a qualified Physiotherapy, Sports Scientist and Sports Massage Therapist. He is qualified with a Masters in Physiotherapy at York St John University. Jack has a interest in sports injuries and is a keen footballer and gym goer in his spare time.
Jack will use his experience from his Sports Science degree and Physiotherapy degree to lead our Biomechanical Screening Services. This includes running biomechanics, sport specific biomechanics (e.g. golf, football, rugby), pre season screening and return to play screening. This screening will help us provide you with exercises which can help reduce risk of injury and improve your game.

Kedra Weatherill Sports Massage Therapist L3 & L4 Sports Massage Qualifications
Kedra is a Level 3 and 4 qualified Sports Massage Therapist. Kedra has a strong interest in dance and trained professionally until she injured her hips. This injury made her seek help from the R&R clinic. Gaining interest in her rehabilitation sparked her enthusiasm for Physiotherapy and as a result she has recently embarked in a degree at the University of Hull, studying Physiotherapy! In her spare time, Kedra loves spending time with her Labrador dog and crocheting.

Amanta Dewdney Women's Health Specialist MSC SPORT & EX MED AND PHYSIOTHERAPY HCPC REGISTERED Pilates L3 Practitioner
Amanta is our Women’s Health Specialist and Lead Physiotherapist. Amanta holds a Masters degree in Physiotherapy Sport & Exercise Medicine from Bradford University and has a POGP qualification in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy: Female Urinary Dysfunction. Amanta specialises in pre-natal and post-partum women, pelvic health and womens health. Amanta also creates personalised treatment plans that can include pilates and hypopressive treatment.
With years of experience working in private practice and the NHS, Amanta has had the opportunity to treat a range of patients and since becoming a mum herself, has found a passion for helping women with their health-related issues.

Amy Huntington Wellbeing Physiotherapist MSci PHYSIOTHERAPY
Amy graduated from the University of Birmingham with an integrated Master's degree (MSci) in Physiotherapy and is also qualified in Level 3 Sports Massage Therapy.
Outside of the clinic, Amy has a keen interest in sport and fitness. She enjoys spending time in the gym and plays tennis at a high level, giving her a strong understanding of the physical demands of sport and the importance of effective rehabilitation.
Amy is excited to be part of the R:HAUS team and looks forward to supporting patients throughout their recovery journey, helping them regain confidence, improve function, and get back to doing the activities they love.

Sufy Rafi Senior Physiotherapist BSC PHYSIOTHERAPY BSC SPORTS SCIENCCE HCPC REGISTERED
With degrees in both Physiotherapy and Sports Science, Sufy has fantastic experience in working with injuries. Alongside his part time work at Rehab and Recover, he is currently Head Physiotherapist at York Knights Rugby League.
Although his interests are in sports injuries, he has also worked in the NHS setting, dealing with post operative procedures such as knee and hip replacements. Sufy has his own experiences of injury having suffered an ACL injury and likes to stay fit and active having recently completed a Hyrox event.

Matt Casselden Sports Therapist BSC SPORTS THERAPY
Matt is a Sports Therapist and semi-professional rugby player with a lifelong passion for sport. Having played rugby throughout his life, he has developed a strong understanding of the physical demands of athletic performance and the importance of effective recovery and rehabilitation.
After experiencing multiple injuries during his playing career, Matt developed a keen interest in injury management, recovery, and performance enhancement. This passion led him to complete an undergraduate degree in Sports and Exercise Therapy at Leeds Beckett University, where he gained the knowledge and practical skills required to become a qualified Sports Therapist with first class honours.
During his time at Leeds Beckett, Matt gained valuable hands-on experience working with professional rugby league teams, combat sports athletes, and participants from a variety of sporting backgrounds. These experiences allowed him to develop his skills in assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance optimisation within high-performance sporting environments.
Matt is passionate about helping individuals recover from injury, improve performance, and achieve their goals. He is excited to bring his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to the team at Rehab and Recover.

Strength and Conditioning Consultant
In professional sport, a medical team works very closely with performance staff to improve the standard of rehabilitation and decrease risk of re-injury on a player’s return. Rehab and Recover work very closely with Paul Hatton ‘EDGE EPT’, Consultant Strength and Conditioning Coach, which allows patients to access gold standard treatment across a multi-disciplinary team. Paul is currently the Head of Performance at Hull FC and works closely with Chris, Director and Lead Physio at Rehab and Recover, on a daily basis.
Excel Health and Nutrition
Tony gained a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Exercise for Health from York St John University in 2017 and has since gained experience working in the NHS, privately, and most recently in professional sport for Hull Kingston Rovers.
He now helps people achieve their nutrition and fitness goals, from everyday people, fitness enthusiasts, to elite athletes across various sports. We are delighted that Tony can now provide Nutrition Consultations to help you with individualised diet plans, but also use his experience in the fitness industry to provide person training and exercise plans for our Rehab and Recover patients, on request.
Psychological Support
Being injured can not just have a physical impact but also psychological. Thankfully we work closely with Michelle Findley who is a Specialist Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (UKCP Accredited) and EMDR Therapist. We have worked with Michelle for over 10 years now with a number of our clients needing support. Those with sporting injuries, traumatic injuries, chronic pain and postnatally have benefitted from her services.
